RC Cemetery: A Discussion

RC Cemetery: A Discussion

You are invited to our Public Engagement session where we will discuss our objective to acquire and re-purpose the property known as the RC Church and in particular, inform those with a connection to the RC Cemetery of our plan for the proposed respectful utilization of the adjoining property.

This session will specifically speak to:

  • The project grounds holding 2 cemeteries of significance

  • How we intend for them to continue acting as a place of memorial

  • The deep historical connection we recognize they bring to our community.

  • Our veterans final resting places on these grounds.

  • And more including a Q&A session

Guest Speakers:

  • Retired Major Michael Pretty: A resident of PCSP, he will speak in regards to community veterans buried there and necessary local heritage preservation.

  • Robyn Lacey & Ian Petty of Black Cat Cemetery Preservation: Residents of PCSP that specialize in preserving local heritage through burial grounds.

We encourage you to please come with your ideas and thoughts so that we can become better informed and work towards the very best outcomes for you and our ancestors.

If successful in acquiring this property, our intent is to create a safe sanctuary and opportunities for ALL community members with a focus on creating space for our arts, wellness and heritage.

Thank you for your interest!
