ARTS, HEALTH & WELLNESS COMMUNITY SITE

We would like to thank all supporters that resulted in the success of the Chamber’s successful preferred bid for acquiring a portion of the property known as the Holy Rosary Parish in Portugal Cove - St. Philip’s.

With a desire to create a SAFE SANCTUARY and opportunities for ALL community members, the AWH Committee’s objective is build a Cultural Centre for our community. Its focus will fulfil the identified needs in our community for related spaces and objectives for:

  • Arts

  • Health, Wellness and Healing

  • Heritage

It will be available for use by all in accordance with our groups core values and principles of openness, transparency, acceptance, sharing, inclusion, and respect and that all facilities under our groups ownership will be SAFE places where all are welcome no matter where you come from and how you have come to be here.

“I whole-heartedly support the AWH Committee and their vision for the development of the Holy Rosary Parish property. I can't help but know in my heart it's time. I'm asking you all to join me in supporting this well-intended group of volunteers to create a beacon of hope and renewal. A safe place for our community, families and survivors like me to continue with the healing process. Together with the AWH Committee, we can create positive change around mental health and wellness by supporting the vision for the property.”
